What’s Happening this year?
This year, Vagkraft will once again open the season with our Spring show, May 24th at Boyd Conservation Area.
Boyd Conservation Area offers a more laid back, family friendly environment with lots of open green space.
We will also bring back our format and events from last year (see below) in order to facilitate this laid back atmosphere. Don’t worry, we’ve still got a packed event with lots of prizes and awards though!
What are the Fresh events?
Car Exhibition and Show: Similar to SpringFling, every car that attends Fresh will park inside the event and be eligible for awards. Awards will be voted on by the spectators and winners will receive our classic swag and brand new trophy design!
#FreshAF: The best of the best, the cream of the crop. Think you’ve got the best car of the show. Enter the FreshAF and see if you are can take the top prize of the day. The winner will receive our largest trophy to date. Register at the Vagkraft booth before noon.
Limbo: Back again, this competition is open to anyone who thinks they have the lowest of the low. Cars will take turns driving (under their own power) under the limbo bar and whoever clears the lowest height takes the prize.
Poke ‘N Go Swap Meet: Back for a third year, with all proceeds going to the John DiBattista Foundation.
Scavenger Hunt: The scavenger hunt is a family friendly event that takes place inside of Boyd Conservation area. We’ve hidden 8 VW car parts around the venue, they are easy to spot. Take a good look around the venue, find them all and mark them on your map, hand it in to the registration booth before 1PM and be entered into a cash draw!
Dyno: Back again, and always a crowd pleaser this event gives you two dyno pulls with printout. Great for benchmarking your car at the beginning of the season . (requires advanced registration).
What does it cost?
All spectators will need to purchase a day pass for Boyd Conservation area upon entry.
- Adults: $6.50 incl. tax
- Children under 14: FREE
- Parking: FREE
Car Exhibition and Show: FREE. Yes. FREE. Every car entering Fresh will be eligible to win awards There is no registration fee, simply fill out your dash card and leave it on your car to be eligible.
Scavenger Hunt: FREE. Yes. FREE. Pick up your map at the Vagkraft booth and hand it in before 1PM. All correct maps will be entered into the draw for the cash prize at 2pm.
Limbo: Cost $10 per car. Listen for the roll call during the day. Pay at the event. All proceeds benefit the John DiBattista Foundation to fight cancer.
FreshAF: If you think you’ve got what it takes, see the Vagkraft booth before 12 noon to register. Cost $20. Limited to 10 cars only, first come first served.
Poke ‘N Go Swap Meet: Cost $25 per vendor (private sales only). Register at the Vagkraft booth the day of the event. All proceeds benefit the John DiBattista Foundation to fight cancer.
Dyno: $70 per car, includes 2 pulls. Also is automatically entered into the highest horsepower award. (Register at the Vagkraft booth)
